about
A deep and soul nourishing meditation on springtime, on familiar and ancient transitions, on reflection, and new beginnings.
Turning Around’s central melody began its life as a game akin to “I went to the supermarket”, with Marysia, Luisa and Rosa passing a melody in a circle, each adding three notes until they could no longer hold it in their minds. Marysia’s harp brings so much tenderness and warmth to this lullaby-like incantation, recorded live in the room alongside guitar, violin, drums and voices from Deep Throat Choir.

LYRICS
Turning around, like the sea, brush the ground.
Turning around, I know this season well, as the light in your eyes.
Turning around, like the shadow moves across your face.
Turning around, you'll know me by the sound, and the sound that you know me by goes ...
Running my fingers over, moving through the longer days.
The light it makes my shadows longer, moving slow to match your pace.
Turning around, trailing close with each step made.
Familiar as buds in springtime, stretching out from winter fade.
And it falls, and I fall too.
